All displayed skip prices exclude VAT. Delivery, collection and tipping are included in the price, and mattresses go in at no extra charge. Heavy waste is restricted to 2- and 4-yard skips. The hardcore-only price covers clean brick, concrete and rubble, which is recycled at no tipping cost. Soil is charged at the mixed waste price. Ton bags and skip bags are quoted separately.

works.

Getting a skip quote should not require guesswork. Here is what to tell us and what happens before delivery.

We will help you compare 2, 4, 6 and 8-yard skips. The price depends on the skip size and the type of waste.

Pick a delivery day and tell us when you want it collected. Standard hire is seven days, with additional days available at £5 each if agreed.

How much does skip hire cost in Worthing?

Our mixed/general waste prices are £125 for a 2-yard skip, £220 for 4 yards, £250 for 6 yards and £320 for 8 yards, all excluding VAT. Other waste types are priced differently. See our full skip hire prices and waste options, and contact us for a postcode-specific quote.

What is included in the seven-day hire?

Standard skip hire includes delivery, collection and seven days of hire. If you need longer, additional days are charged at £5 each when agreed. Ask us for the VAT-inclusive total. Tell us your preferred dates when requesting a quote.

Which skip size should I choose?

A 2-yard skip suits small clear-outs, a 4-yard suits most DIY jobs, and the 6 and 8-yard skips are for renovations and big clear-outs. Weight limits vary by size, so send a photo if you are unsure.

Can the skip go on the road?

Our prices are for a skip on your drive or other private land. A skip on the road needs a council permit. A skip on a public highway or an ungated private street with a public right of way needs a licence arranged by the skip operator. A skip on the road needs a permit, which costs extra. See West Sussex County Council’s skip guidance. Contact us before booking if you do not have space on private land.

Can I mix rubble, soil and household waste?

Not without checking with us first. Mixed/general waste, clean hardcore and green waste are priced differently; soil and hardcore are not accepted in our 6- or 8-yard general-waste skips. Never place asbestos, chemicals, gas bottles or other hazardous items in a standard skip. Ask us before adding plasterboard or electricals.

How soon can a skip be delivered?

Call us to check our next delivery day. Call or send us a WhatsApp message with your location and preferred date and we will confirm what we can offer.

What if I have nowhere to put a skip?

A skip may not be the best option for every address. D J Recycling also provides rubbish removal in Worthing and house clearance services, so you can ask about a collection instead.
